It helps to include your iPhone model, your iOS version, and what you were doing when it went wrong. Never send screenshots of entries you’d rather keep private — describe what happened instead, and we’ll work from that.
Getting your data out
Settings → Your data → Export. Mira writes a CSV of every entry you’ve logged and hands it to the iOS share sheet, so you can mail it to yourself, drop it in Files, or open it in a spreadsheet. There’s no limit and no condition on this.
Backup and signing in
Mira works fully signed out, on one device, with everything stored locally. Sign in with Apple if you want a backup and want your entries on more than one device.
If your entries don’t appear on a second device, check that both are signed in to the same Apple Account and have been online since the last change. Settings shows when the last backup happened.
To remove the cloud copy, use Settings → Your data → Delete cloud backup. That clears what’s stored in the cloud and leaves the copy on your phone untouched.
Insights aren’t available yet
Insights need something to read. They unlock after about two weeks of logging, and they get noticeably better after a month — patterns need history to be worth trusting. Until then the screen will say so rather than guess.
If Insights are on and a generation fails, it’s usually the network. Try again in a minute; nothing is lost when it fails.
The watch app and the widget
Both show the symptoms you’ve starred as favorites, and the widget shows the top four. Star something in the app to put it there.
If the watch app looks out of date, open Mira on the phone with the watch nearby and give it a moment — the phone holds the real copy and pushes changes across. If something logged on the watch hasn’t appeared on the phone, it will arrive the next time both are awake and in range.
Health and weather figures aren’t filling in
Mira reads only the Health categories you’ve allowed. Check them under Settings → Health & weather in Mira, and then in the Health app under Sharing → Apps. Switching a category off stops future entries from picking it up; anything already saved on past entries stays.
Some figures fill in a little after the fact, because Mira waits for the day to finish before finalising it. A day still marked as provisional isn’t a bug.
Deleting something, or everything
Individual entries can be deleted from History. Deleting the app removes everything on the device. If you also had backup on, use Delete cloud backup first, or email us and we’ll remove it for you.
Something else
Feature requests and bug reports are both welcome at hellomirasupport@gmail.com. Mira is made by two people, so the answer is honest about what’s likely and what isn’t.
If you’re having a hard time
Mira is a notebook, not a clinician, and it doesn’t diagnose or treat anything. If you’re in crisis, please contact your local emergency number or a crisis line — in the US and Canada, call or text 988.
